If you’re traveling from Bangalore, you can take the NH275 route towards Mysore. From Mysore, continue on NH766 towards Sultan Bathery. Kuruva Island is approximately 115 kilometers from Mysore, and the journey takes around 3 to 4 hours by car. You can also opt for a bus service from Bangalore to Kalpetta, which is the nearest town to Kuruva Island.

From Kochi

Travelers coming from Kochi can take the NH66 route towards Kozhikode. From Kozhikode, continue on NH766 towards Kalpetta. Kuruva Island is approximately 260 kilometers from Kochi, and the journey takes around 6 to 7 hours by car. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Kochi to Kalpetta and then hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Kuruva Island.

By Train

The nearest railway station to Kuruva Island is Kozhikode Railway Station, located approximately 120 kilometers away. From Kozhikode, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Kalpetta. Once in Kalpetta, you can hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Kuruva Island.

By Air

The nearest airport to Kuruva Island is Calicut International Airport, located approximately 130 kilometers away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Kalpetta. Alternatively, you can book a flight to Bengaluru International Airport or Kochi International Airport and then proceed to Kuruva Island by road as mentioned above.

Entry Fees and Timings

Kuruva Island is open to visitors from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM every day, except for Mondays when it remains closed for maintenance. The entry fee for Indian nationals is INR 80 per person, while the fee for foreign nationals is INR 150 per person. Children below the age of 5 years can enter free of charge. Additionally, a nominal fee is charged for parking facilities near the entrance of the island.
